And for Those Working at the Car Wash

The Car Wash Show 2013 Las Vegas

When people talk of the 'car wash', it is usually brought up on two occasions. One being the actual action of getting ones' car washed. The second of course is the famous 1970's hit, 'Working at the Car Wash'. I mean, what more really can you say? It is a place you take your car to get it washed. Big deal, right? Well actually, it just might be after all.

The car wash industry actually is pretty profitable if you actually think about it. Isn't it true that there are more cars than people? And isn't it also true that we live in a society that likes to get things done in the easiest and most efficient ways

Yeah, Americans are pretty lazy...but lazy Americans with dirty cars are one of the biggest things keeping the car wash industry alive and very, very busy. Another big impact upon the car wash industry is of course the trade shows that come along with it.

Coming to the Las Vegas strip, keeping the car wash industry itself alive is the Car Wash Show 2013 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. The show will be in town the 22nd of this month until the 24th. The Car Wash Show is the largest in its industry, with car wash suppliers flocking together from around the world. The show also features the future technology and latest tools in the car wash business.

Any of the 1,100 expected attendees will absolutely love what is in store for them. With exhibitors from around the world, and many new products featured, no attendee will leave the show disappointed!

The show also aids attendees in networking with other operators, provides knowledgeable, best-in-class speakers to meet with, and even the golden opportunity to view all the new equipment!

If you find yourself in the Las Vegas area around this time, and just so happen to be in the business, give the show a try. Who knows where it could take you!

Get Your Craft On Las Vegas

Glass Craft & Bead Expo 2013

Despite the fact that technology has seemingly got our backs when we get bored, there are still plenty of people out there who like to find amusement within arts and crafts. Hey, some people rely on video games and computers... others sometimes prefer the old fashioned 'do-it-yourself' method and create something with their own two hands.

Either way, arts and crafts is something technology can't really ever replace. It can't really be 'arts and crafts' if there isn't any imagination or creativity put in it, right?

Like most hobbies out there, there are some who are outstanding in what they do... others just need a little bit more practice. Luckily for any arts and crafts fans out there, the fabulous city of Las Vegas is making way for a show dedicated to one of the many categories of crafts. During the days of April 3rd until the 7th, Las Vegas is welcoming the Glass Craft & Bead Expo 2013 to the South Point Casino and Spa.

The Glass Craft & Bead Expo 2013 is the bees knees for anyone interested in this type of crafting. For the past 7 years, the show has been coming to the South Point, and attracting many, many people from all over the world.

What for? Well, the expo floor provides the 9,000 expected attendees the top of the line and latest, most innovative products out on the market. The expo also provides over 250 specialty classes in the glass craft field, as well as countless types and colors.

Anyone most certainly interested bead and glass crafting, whether it be for personal satisfaction or gaining advice in order to make profit from this hobby, should consider attending. The Glass Craft & Bead Expo 2013 is not something to miss, especially if you take glass crafting super seriously.

So come on down during early April and give the show a try! No matter what, there isn't anything to lose. Just tips, tricks, and products to provide plenty of personal gain.

Living in Las Vegas

Does it Kill the 'Vibe'?

It is quite hard to picture such an 'adult playground' like Vegas being the home to a couple hundred thousand people. What? Vegas is sustainable for life? Believe it or not, people do actually live there. I'm sure many people given the opportunity to live there would be fairly excited. In a fast-paced world consisting of all-you-can-eat buffets and endless activities, who could even imagine being bored?

Well, for locals, it does happen. Most locals are familiar with the city scene, and its effect on people. The locals who keep their smarts about city life are the most successful. By successful, I mean they aren't a drug and/or gambling addict who lost everything, and now live under the freeway. It's quite a sad fate most naive Las Vegas locals face, but its rather expected.

This all seems like common sense to most people I assume or more rather, hope so. Street smarts, homie. So what would these 'successful' locals do for fun in the city that never sleeps? Imagine that, the city of Las Vegas at your fingertips. With the right connections and cash amount, just about anything is possible. The world is now your playground.

This is all fine and dandy, yes, but after a while it becomes an ordinary thing. I mean after a while, wouldn't Las Vegas boulevard lose its magic? Wouldn't the noises of the city just turn into background noise? Yes. Yes it does.

Don't get me wrong, most folks enjoy the sights of the city, but locals tend to just go about their daily lives... and somehow surviving the harsh Nevada summers. Local families seem to enjoy more 'recreational' activities, and live a fairly normal life. Especially after living in a 'not-so-normal' environment.

There are others though, who like anyone anywhere else, are looking for their break to leave the area. Sometimes Vegas isn't a suitable place for families with kids, especially with Vegas being obviously 'adult themed'

Not only that, but the city's crime rates are pretty damn high. Hell, I wouldn't want to raise any kids there myself! The city life isn't for everyone, and living in an environment such as that kind of takes away from the magic of the city.

Tourists are lucky I suppose. They only have to deal with Las Vegas for a short time, and hopefully aren't too terribly down on their luck during the stay. But in all honesty, if anyone is going to decide and call Las Vegas a home, they should make sure and do their research a bit first. Sometimes the fast-paced lifestyle is a little too fast-paced.

Now for Some Real Mortal Kombat - Las Vegas Style

2013 American Tae Kwan Do Association/West Coast Tournament

Everyone has some form of interest in martial arts... or even to be a ninja whether they think so or not. I mean, really, who wouldn't want to be like Bruce Lee and fly kicks through the air? Or like Jackie Chan and even put a comical spin on putting hurt on any henchmen. Why not even go for the 'Karate Kid' style and 'wax on/wax off'?

With so many different forms to choose from, martial arts are absolutely an interesting and active art form. Not everyone has to be into the 'art' in order to appreciate it. Some people like to rent movie after movie with bad language dubbing and everything.

Others want something more real, such as a tournament. It is like being in the middle of the action without having to be in the middle of it. Best of both worlds, right?

Well for those who are fans of Tae Kwan Do in the Las Vegas area, you all are in luck. The 2013 American TaeKwon Do West Coast Tournament is coming to the Las Vegas strip on the 15th of this month until the 18th to the famous Las Vegas Convention Center.

Now you have the option to see the action up close and personal. With 5,000 expected attendees, the Tae Kwon Do tournament surely will not disappoint. The Tournament features some of the best students from a variety of schools respectively sparring against each other. What a sight to see!

If you are an avid martial arts fan, or even if it spark your interest, why not come on down and take a peek at the tournament? And what better place to be in other than Las Vegas for all this fun and excitement? I mean, that is where all the fun and excitement truly is, right?

I enjoy being with gentlemen who like to make a real connection. The kind of men who never say no when a new adventure presents itself. Are you open minded enough to fit this description? I am your passport to the world beyond the "Las Vegas Strip". I consider it a great honor when someone chooses to call me for an appointment. See you soon?

Yea, There's An Accessory For That

Always With Something to Match

The clothing industry is always booming with the latest trends and up dates as to what is 'in' this season. As if we all actually really, really care right? Have any of you ever actually looked at the clothing on the fashion models in magazines? Personally, I'd have no idea in hell how to wear over half the clothing they do... and plus, what occasion would you really need to wear most of that shit to?

That's completely besides the point I'm trying to make though. So I'm sure we can agree that some of the model clothing trends might not be so hot for everyone. People may seem to shy away from some of these 'fashion statements', but always seem to go for accessories. Who doesn't? Everyone wants something to match their something-or-other. Whether it be the gaudy jewelry of a Jewish wife, or a $14 piece of crap boy band pendant treasured by a preteen girl, there's an accessory for everyone.

That is where 'Accessories the Show2013' comes into play. Anyone assuming that this is a convention completely and thoroughly dedicated to accessories by the name, is correct. Accessories the Show comes to the Las Vegas Strip the 17th of this month until the 19th, and takes place in the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino.

The 2,000 expected attendees will be welcomed by the many showcases to check out. Business owners can mingle and exchange ideas with other owners, as well as observe the vast inventory they present.

Either way, I'm sure any good business owner in the clothing industry understands the value and popularity of accessories. So whether or not accessories appeal to you, Accessories the Show is going to be in town soon. Give it a try! Especially if you are in fact, a business owner. If not, suit yourself. If not, you might just miss out on the show of your life, as well as snagging up some cool new accessories for whatever may come.

Even The Flu Is Scared Of Las Vegas

Las Vegas proves elusive to flu germs so far.

Ahh January, no more 'major' holidays for a while. In some places, snow is still quite visible and falling all around I'm sure. It's a pretty peaceful month to sit and recover from any New Years partying one may have done. For others, the month is nothing but a warning for an unpleasant guest by the name of.. well.. the flu. Oh yes, that microscopic little bastard who ruins everything for everyone during winter months.

Not only is the flu a complete party pooper, it is nearly impossible to avoid its presence. Especially in large cities such as Las Vegas. I'm sure anyone who has experience with city life understands what 'flu season' really means. It's a horrifying epidemic that locals see as something worse than say, the plague meeting a mass of apocalyptic zombies. It may seem like an over the top comparison, but have you ever seen a city full of flu ridden folk? It has a strangely disturbing sight to it.

Lucky for Las Vegas though, the flu seems to be lagging in its visit. This has given local hospitals a chance to prepare and set up emergency tents in case the hospital overflows with patients. Seems more zombie/plague like when put in those terms, doesn't it? Somehow the flu managed to arrive a month earlier than expected, and has infected 47 states so far, yet missed such a huge city.

Honestly, I would have bet on Vegas being one of the first down. Each and every day for a hundred and something years, people have been arriving to Vegas from around the world. So it seems a bit doubtful some sort of disease wouldn't have made its big debut anywhere it can on the strip. Maybe Vegas is a lot cleaner than we think, and take the 'employees must wash hands before returning to work' signs more seriously than they lead on.

Whether you're a local, or just visiting for a short time, remember to take precautions. Remember what your mama taught you about getting sick? Yeah, now would be the time to use that advice wisely. It may be hard to differentiate some of the people you may run into up and down the strip when it comes to the flu.

You'll come to notice the strange people who lurk about up and down the strip coughing and wheezing. Not all of them are infected with the flu... but it's best to stay at a distance in case they are. Or in case they're infected with or something worse than the flu. Oh boy, that's a trip ruin-er for sure.

Just make sure to keep your personal bubble clean and un-invaded, get enough sleep, and avoid buffets during flu season. Most of all though, local or not, good luck to those in Las Vegas during this flu season. Sharing doesn't always have to be caring.
