The Car Wash Show 2013 Las Vegas

When people talk of the 'car wash', it is usually brought up on two occasions. One being the actual action of getting ones' car washed. The second of course is the famous 1970's hit, 'Working at the Car Wash'. I mean, what more really can you say? It is a place you take your car to get it washed. Big deal, right? Well actually, it just might be after all.

The car wash industry actually is pretty profitable if you actually think about it. Isn't it true that there are more cars than people? And isn't it also true that we live in a society that likes to get things done in the easiest and most efficient ways

Yeah, Americans are pretty lazy...but lazy Americans with dirty cars are one of the biggest things keeping the car wash industry alive and very, very busy. Another big impact upon the car wash industry is of course the trade shows that come along with it.

Coming to the Las Vegas strip, keeping the car wash industry itself alive is the Car Wash Show 2013 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. The show will be in town the 22nd of this month until the 24th. The Car Wash Show is the largest in its industry, with car wash suppliers flocking together from around the world. The show also features the future technology and latest tools in the car wash business.

Any of the 1,100 expected attendees will absolutely love what is in store for them. With exhibitors from around the world, and many new products featured, no attendee will leave the show disappointed! 

The show also aids attendees in networking with other operators, provides knowledgeable, best-in-class speakers to meet with, and even the golden opportunity to view all the new equipment!

If you find yourself in the Las Vegas area around this time, and just so happen to be in the business, give the show a try. Who knows where it could take you!

Masquerade No More?

  Rio says, "Goodbye" to the Show in the Sky. 

  I'm pretty sure anyone who is familiar with Las Vegas probably is a tiny bit familiar with the Rio's 'Show in the Sky'. If not, the show has been taking place in the Rio Hotel in Casino since 1997.

  The show is Mardi Gras themed, and consists of multiple neon, mechanical floats that 'float' through the air. Entertainers, as well as two dozen occupants, dance upon the floats and throw the familiar but gaudy masquerade beads down to the spectators below. The floats take a trip around the casino, displaying the casino floor and the Rio's 'Masquerade Village'.

  So even if you don't take part in being on the float themselves, you can most likely enjoy yourself watching the show and collecting shiny beaded necklaces. The Show in the Sky performs every Thursday through Saturday, from 6 pm until 11 pm. It honestly is a pretty cool attraction when you think about it. Plus, its fairly kid friendly and doesn't involve topless, drunk college girls as the traditional Mardi Gras does. I'd consider that pretty damn kid friendly for it being Las Vegas.

  Sad to say though, that next month the Show in the Sky will be performing its last show on Saturday, March 30th at 11 pm. Caesars Entertainment recently disclosed that they are in fact shutting the show down for good. They didn't disclose their reasoning on exactly why the show must come to an end, nor did they state what it will later become. Still kid friendly? Ehh... they do what they can.

  At least the Rio is generous enough to refund fully those who bought tickets in advance for the Show in the Sky after its closing date. It is always sad to see an old show go, but at least there is still time to see the show before then. Remember, you aren't necessarily required to spend money on the show itself to have fun! At least collect yourself some beads as a fond memory of a fun show.

Yea, There's An Accessory For That

Always With Something to Match

  The clothing industry is always booming with the latest trends and up dates as to what is 'in' this season. As if we all actually really, really care right? Have any of you ever actually looked at the clothing on the fashion models in magazines? Personally, I'd have no idea in hell how to wear over half the clothing they do... and plus, what occasion would you really need to wear most of that shit to?

  That's completely besides the point I'm trying to make though. So I'm sure we can agree that some of the model clothing trends might not be so hot for everyone. People may seem to shy away from some of these 'fashion statements', but always seem to go for accessories. Who doesn't? Everyone wants something to match their something-or-other. Whether it be the gaudy jewelry of a Jewish wife, or a $14 piece of crap boy band pendant treasured by a preteen girl, there's an accessory for everyone.

That is where 'Accessories the Show2013' comes into play. Anyone assuming that this is a convention completely and thoroughly dedicated to accessories by the name, is correct. Accessories the Show comes to the Las Vegas Strip the 17th of this month until the 19th, and takes place in the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino. 

The 2,000 expected attendees will be welcomed by the many showcases to check out. Business owners can mingle and exchange ideas with other owners, as well as observe the vast inventory they present.

Either way, I'm sure any good business owner in the clothing industry understands the value and popularity of accessories. So whether or not accessories appeal to you, Accessories the Show is going to be in town soon. Give it a try! Especially if you are in fact, a business owner. If not, suit yourself. If not, you might just miss out on the show of your life, as well as snagging up some cool new accessories for whatever may come.
